Tameside Oldham and Glossop Mind

About us

At Mind we deliver a whole host of services for better mental health and well-being.  Our services include counselling, solution focused therapy, therapeutic courses and workshops, community engagement, volunteering opportunities, advocacy, allotment work, eating out healthy at Topaz Café, accessing a range of drop-ins and getting involved with the organisation’s development.  Here is a slideshow that can be used in groups to learn more about our organisation.  You will need to have Adobe Acrobat reader installed to open this presentation.

Please note:  Our services are offered on the basis of where you live.  Please do check in advance.

As an insight of our impact, within the last year* we:

Worked with over 8,500 people.  That’s equivalent to the nearly the whole of Mossley.

We delivered 5060 sessions with people on a 1-2-1 and counselling and advocacy.

We provided 150 course sessions for 300 people.

We helped 120 people access drop-ins for housing, debt and education advice.

75% of our income was used for front line delivery.

7000 people ate at our award winning social enterprise café, Topaz.

We employed 90 volunteers, of which 18 were new volunteers.

Our volunteers worked to the equivalent of 8543 hours, 356 days of work.  That’s 80% of our front line service delivery time.

*Figures are based on service delivery between October 2010 and October 2011.
